California

Interchange 360 is committed to advancing petroleum and automotive packaging stewardship through data collection, collaboration, and shared principles. Our engagement in California reflects ongoing efforts to support producers in navigating evolving regulatory landscapes.
Completing the Participation Agreement below signals your interest in engaging with Interchange 360’s industry-led efforts in relation to California’s Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act. Complying with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) begins with collecting data related to product distribution in each state and material specifications on packaging and we have created a Producer Guidance Document that can help you with this process. You can find that document, along with other relevant information, on the Producers page.

California Base Fees
Interchange 360’s efforts in California are funded by producer fees. Each individual producer’s fees are based on the volume of covered materials it sells into the state versus the estimated costs of activities. Producers are responsible for paying back to the start date of planning fees regardless of their join date. To learn more about fees, visit our Producer Fees/Dues page.
