Position Overview
Reporting to the CEO, the Director, EPR Regulatory Compliance will lead Interchange 360’s regulatory compliance strategy across all jurisdictions in which we operate. This senior-level role ensures full compliance with state and federal EPR laws while shaping policy engagement, regulatory reporting, and program alignment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in EPR legislation, environmental regulation, and public policy, along with the leadership skills to support a growing, impact-driven organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead interpretation and implementation of EPR regulations across all regions and ensure Interchange 360 maintains a robust, state-aligned compliance framework.
- Oversee regulatory filings, program plans, audits, and compliance reporting from development through submission.
- Monitor legislative developments, advise leadership on risks and readiness, and ensure ongoing regulatory alignment.
- Build and manage relationships with state regulators, government agencies, advisory boards, and compliance partners.
- Represent Interchange 360 in hearings, consultations, and working groups, collaborating with legal and policy advisors as needed.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, data, legal, and education teams to embed compliance requirements into all program activities.
- Ensure accurate data practices, provide compliance training, and support public-facing communications that reflect regulatory expectations.
- Identify risks, implement internal audit and performance tracking tools, and drive continuous improvement in regulatory processes and reporting.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Policy, Law, Public Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in environmental regulatory compliance, including senior leadership roles
- In-depth understanding of EPR laws, circular economy frameworks, and environmental regulations in North America
- Proven experience working with state and provincial regulators, policymakers, or environmental agencies
- Strong knowledge of compliance reporting systems and standards
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Legal or policy background considered an asset

Director, Regional Communications
Position Overview
Reporting to the CCO, the Director, Regional Communications leads all state-level communications, education, and outreach for Interchange 360 in the United States. This role is responsible for ensuring each jurisdiction meets its regulatory requirements for public awareness and education while building strong local relationships and maintaining message consistency across all states. The Director will initially focus on the launch of Colorado’s EPR program (2026) and preparations for additional states, working closely with the communications, operations, and regulatory teams. This is a hands-on role that requires both strategic planning and tactical execution.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead state specific communications strategies and launch plans, beginning with Colorado
- Translate regulatory requirements into measurable communication deliverables
- Develop campaigns, timelines, budgets, media plans, and public awareness materials
- Build relationships with municipalities, recyclers, regulators, producers, and other stakeholders
- Oversee the creation of education assets such as signage, toolkits, digital content, and outreach materials
- Track, report, and evaluate communications activities to support compliance and continuous improvement
- Manage creative and media vendors to ensure high quality, consistent brand aligned content
What You Bring:
- A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Environmental Policy, or a related field
- 8+ of progressive experience in communications, ideally in environmental programs, government relations, or regulatory contexts
- A track record of managing multi-channel campaigns and navigating complex regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional writing, editing, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with Extended Producer Responsibility, recycling systems, or environmental compliance is an asset
- The ability to lead with clarity, collaborate effectively, and roll up your sleeves when needed
