LPMA’s EPR Program Moves One Step Closer to Approval
• ColoradoWe’re excited to share that the Colorado Producer Responsibility Advisory Board has conditionally recommended LPMA’s Individual Program Plan (IPP) for approval—marking an important milestone for the petroleum and automotive products industry.
This recommendation moves LPMA powered by Interchange 360 one step closer to becoming the only Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance program for automotive containers in Colorado.
While the plan has not yet received formal approval, the recommendation signals strong momentum. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) now has 120 days to make a final decision, following submission to the Executive Director.
In the meantime, it’s essential that producers prepare for the next phase. All producers must be registered with LPMA by July 1, 2025, to continue selling covered products in the state. After that date, unregistered producers will be prohibited from selling into the Colorado market.
If you haven’t registered yet, now is the time. Visit our Registration page to access the Colorado Participation Agreement and learn more about how LPMA can help you stay compliant with Colorado’s EPR law.
We’ll continue to provide updates as the IPP moves through the final stages of review. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at memberservices@interchange360.com.
