Welcome Eric Nelson

News

We’re pleased to welcome Eric Nelson as Director of EPR Compliance at Interchange 360. With more than three decades of experience across multiple industries, Eric brings deep expertise in public policy, recycling technology, product development, and sustainability.

Over the past 20 years, Eric has focused on advancing the circular economy in the United States, working at the intersection of policy development and practical implementation. He has played a key role in shaping and supporting EPR programs, with particularly deep experience in California.

Eric was closely involved in the development of California’s AB 2398 legislation and the Carpet Stewardship Program it established. He was one of the primary authors of the original stewardship plan when the program launched in 2011 and has remained actively engaged in its evolution ever since.

In addition to his hands-on industry work, Eric has held several leadership roles, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE), chairing the Stewardship Planning Committee, and leading both the California Carpet Advisory Committee and the California Carpet Council. Eric holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and brings a practical, solutions-focused mindset to everything he does.

As Interchange 360 continues to support producers and build out EPR programs across multiple states, Eric’s experience and leadership will help ensure compliance frameworks are not only effective, but workable in practice.

Please join us in welcoming Eric to the team.
