In early 2024, Minnesota’s extended producer responsibility bill – Packaging Waste and Cost Reduction Act – for packaging, food packaging, and paper products was signed into law. The program is being developed in consultation with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
Complying with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) begins with collecting data related to product distribution in each state and material specifications on packaging and we have created a Producer Guidance Document that can help you with this process.
